(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, January 23, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization held an online conference to summarize the implementation of Directive No. 18/2000/CT-TTG dated September 21, 2000 of the Prime Minister on strengthening mass mobilization work. Comrades Nguyen Duy Thang - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Nguyen Duy Viet - Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization chaired the conference. The Nghe An bridgehead was chaired by Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

After 12 years of implementing Directive No. 18 of the Prime Minister, many results have been achieved in terms of awareness and action, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order and safety, improving people's material and spiritual life, and consolidating people's trust in the Party and the State. In mass mobilization, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and forces have made many innovations and creativity in content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, paying attention to the needs and legitimate interests of all classes of people. Thereby, many "skillful mass mobilization" models have been built to create positive changes, arousing the people's spirit of mastery.

In addition to the achieved results, the conference also frankly pointed out some shortcomings that need to be overcome such as: Mass mobilization work in some localities is not yet synchronous, emulation evaluation is not really of good quality, some proposed programs and plans are still general, complaint settlement in some localities is still slow...

From the results achieved, the conference determined to continue to strengthen mass mobilization work, promote the study and dissemination of the Party's viewpoints and Ho Chi Minh's thought on mass mobilization work for all cadres, civil servants and people; Make mass mobilization work a regular task of agencies and units associated with the implementation of functions and tasks of the industry and locality; Promote and replicate typical examples of skillful mass mobilization, patriotic emulation movements for mobilization; Gather and mobilize, promote the strength of the entire people in socio-economic development, maintain political security, social order and safety...

For Nghe An province, implementing Directive No. 18 of the Prime Minister, the mass mobilization work has been led, organized and implemented by the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations and has received positive responses from civil servants in state agencies and the people. Thereby, creating consensus in society, contributing to socio-economic development, national security and defense, creating conditions for the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to actively monitor the activities of administrative agencies and civil servants; strengthening trust between the people and the government, actively contributing to the fight against bureaucracy, corruption and waste in administrative agencies, building an increasingly clean and strong government apparatus. However, the implementation of Directive 18 still has some limitations such as low efficiency in administrative procedure reform, irresponsible attitudes and working style of a number of civil servants...

In the following years, Nghe An will continue to promote the study of Directive 18 and Uncle Ho's mass mobilization ideology in many forms. The Mass Mobilization Committee actively coordinates with the Steering Committee to implement democratic regulations to seriously and democratically implement policies, mechanisms, programs and projects in the area./.
