(Baonghean.vn) -Recently, the Nghe An Youth Development Support Center has collaborated with many universities, colleges and the Department of Education and Training to organize admission consultation sessions for 8 locations in 7 districts of Dien Chau, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Do Luong, Quy Hop, Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong. Nghe An Newspaper reporter had an interview with Mr. Luu Anh Tuan - Director of the Center about school orientation for students when the exam season is approaching.

PV:Sir, what is the content that the Center provides in the counseling sessions for students?

Mr. Luu Anh Tuan
: In addition to disseminating the most official information about enrollment, the Center also coordinates with schools to directly advise students. The purpose is to help students choose the right major and career according to their abilities, strengths, and the needs of society.

PV:Can you be more specific, what questions do students usually have during those consultations?

Mr. Luu Anh Tuan: Most students often ask about job opportunities when choosing majors in economics, construction, and transportation. Previously, these majors were really “hot” because job opportunities and income from jobs in these majors were often ideal. In recent years, the economy has been sluggish, so these majors have begun to “cool down” and many young people are very hesitant in choosing these majors.

PV:Do you want advice on choosing a major or training environment?

Mr. Luu Anh Tuan:Some of you have asked about the possibility of finding a job in non-public training environments with those majors. In fact, the State has regulations that all state units and enterprises must have fair recruitment regulations for all students, whether they graduate from public or non-public schools. Recruiting units have the right to consider, pre-select, and take exams.stillIt is wrong to only recruit students who have graduated from regular schools. Those who intend to take the entrance exam for non-public schools can rest assured because schools such as Van Xuan University of Technology, for example, all have good job opportunities.

PV:That said, students with “lesser” academic ability still have a lot of hope when deciding to apply to non-public schools because in reality, non-public schools have lower entrance scores. So what advice do you have for students with average academic ability when most of them still dream of university?

Mr. Luu Anh Tuan:In my opinion, if you find yourself unable to pass the university entrance exam, you can still take the college or vocational school entrance exam because in reality, if you graduate from college, you will have a better chance of starting a career sooner and then you can still continue studying at university while working.

Also, most of you are still choosing a career based on the herd effect: if you study well in block A, you choose economics, construction, transportation; if you study block B, you take the exam for medicine, pharmacy... and all want to get into reputable schools, but few people realize what their strengths are. The purpose of our consultation is to help you recognize the career that suits each student's strengths.

PV:What do you want to share before exam season when concerns about choosing a career and school are "heating up"?

Mr. Luu Anh Tuan:Be confident in your decisions when you have made wise choices through consulting many information channels. If you are confident, of course the opportunity to study and train in good educational environments and the opportunity to get a job will be very high!
