The US has discovered another letter containing poison sent to President Obama.
The threatening letter sent to President Obama has been handed over to the FBI's Joint Task Force on Terrorism.
On May 30, the U.S. Secret Service announced they had detected and intercepted a "threatening" letter addressed to President Barack Obama, similar to two letters sent on May 29 to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the gun control team directly under the Mayor.

According to U.S. Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary, the threatening letter addressed to President Obama has been handed over to the FBI's Joint Task Force on Terrorism. The letter was sent from an address in Shreveport, Louisiana. The spokesman did not provide specific details about the contents of the letter, only stating that it was as dangerous as the letter recently discovered to the Mayor of New York and staff members of the Mayor's office.
Earlier, New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne stated that the letter sent to Mayor Bloomberg contained ricin, a poison that can be fatal within 36 to 48 hours if inhaled. Initial investigations determined the letter was sent from a gun rights advocacy group. The letter threatened to "shoot in the face" anyone who tried to confiscate firearms.
The New York City mayor is considered one of the pioneering politicians in the campaign for stricter gun control and ownership. Bloomberg also organized the "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" campaign, launched in 2006 and involving over 950 mayors nationwide. This group has been running an advertising campaign costing up to $12 million, a portion of which came from Bloomberg's own pocket.
