(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon, April 14, in Vinh city, the 2nd Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Nghe An province, term 2013 - 2018, held a preparatory session. The Congress took place over two days, April 14 and 15, with the participation of 177 delegates.



Delegates vote to approve the program

On the first day, the congress held an internal session with the following contents: approving the program, election regulations and working of the congress; electing the presidium, secretariat, delegate qualification inspection committee and vote counting committee; electing the executive committee for the second term of 2013-2018, consisting of 30 people; The new executive committee held its first meeting to elect the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and the positions of President and Vice President of the Association.

Before the Congress, the delegates offered flowers and reported their achievements to Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square. In the official session taking place on April 15, the 2nd Congress of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Nghe An province for the 2013-2018 term will present a summary report of the first term, directions for the second term and review of the Executive Committee; discuss and approve the Congress Resolution; award the 2012 certificate of merit of the Provincial People's Committee to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Nghe An province.
