Provincial Youth Union: Honoring 16 typical strong grassroots youth organizations in 2012

(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon (December 28), the Provincial Youth Union held a conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union in 2012 and deploy tasks for 2013.

Currently, the Provincial Youth Union has 57 grassroots organizations with more than 2,000 members, accounting for 42% of the total number of cadres and civil servants in the whole bloc. Implementing the movements "5 shocks to develop the socio-economy and protect the fatherland", "4 accompaniment of youth in the movement to establish a career", the whole bloc has 80% of the Youth Union's grassroots organizations implementing youth topics and projects. In 2012, the Provincial Youth Union introduced 149 members to attend the Party admission training course, admitted 121 outstanding members to the Party, and 124 comrades were officially recognized as Party members.

The volunteer movement for community life has been actively responded to by the Youth Union members in many social security activities such as: visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services; volunteering in poor communes; undertaking youth projects...

In 2013, the Youth Union set the following targets: 80% of Youth Union members register and carry out at least one youth project "following Uncle Ho"; organize 3 thematic conferences on administrative reform; establish the Youth Union's "Young Intellectuals" Club; 90% of Youth Union members are classified as strong and 90% of Youth Union members are advanced workers.



Awarding certificates of merit to 16 typical strong units.

At the conference, the Youth Union Executive Committee thoroughly grasped Resolution 01 on solutions to rectify the activities and work of the Youth Union in the current period. On this occasion, 51 units were classified as strong; 16 typical strong units were honored; the Youth Union was classified as an outstanding unit by the Provincial Youth Union, and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Youth Union for its outstanding achievements in youth union work and youth movements.
