First wind power plant in the Mekong Delta begins operation.

After more than 30 months of construction, on the afternoon of May 29th, the Bac Lieu Wind Power Plant in Vinh Trach Dong commune, Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province, was put into operation and officially connected to the national power grid.

This is the first wind power project in the Mekong Delta using advanced technology from G7 countries, with a total investment of 5,200 billion VND.

The Bac Lieu province wind power plant, invested by Cong Ly Construction - Trade - Tourism Co., Ltd., is built on nearly 500 hectares of coastal land and has a capacity of 99.2 MW. The project includes 62 wind turbine towers, providing approximately 320 million kWh of electricity per year. In this first phase, the investor has completed the construction of 10 wind turbine towers, providing approximately 56 million kWh of electricity per year.
