Hoang Ho Khanh Linh was born and raised in Hamlet 3, Quynh Hong Commune, Quynh Luu District. Both her parents are teachers. Naturally intelligent, with the help of her parents and dedicated teachers, Khanh Linh has become increasingly good at studying. For 5 consecutive years from grade 1 to grade 9, she has been an excellent student in all subjects. Khanh Linh is good at many natural and social subjects, especially English.

Khanh Linh started to love English since 8th grade. She said: “I like English because it is an effective tool in studying, working and living, helping me communicate with foreigners. I can learn English while listening to music, watching movies or reading books and newspapers, so I can both entertain and study effectively.”
Through self-study and the support of teachers, Khanh Linh has achieved many achievements in English. In grade 8, she was the captain of Quynh Luu district participating in the provincial English speaking club and won third prize. In grade 9, Khanh Linh continued to win second prize in the provincial excellent student competition in English.
In the entrance exam to grade 10, Hoang Ho Khanh Linh achieved high results and was admitted to the selective class 10A2 of Quynh Luu I High School. In both grades 10 and 11, she was the valedictorian of the English subject. In the 2012-2013 school year, Khanh Linh won second prize in the provincial English proficiency exam and won the Gold Medal in the 2013 National Online English Olympiad (IOE).
Sharing her secret to learning English well, Khanh Linh said: “I pay attention to the teacher’s lectures and study carefully in class, completing all my homework. I also watch movies, listen to many songs in English for entertainment, and to be able to absorb easily, and join an English club to practice my listening and speaking skills, and participate in English competitions. I also register for English classes via the Internet.”
Not only is she an exemplary student, good at many subjects, especially English, Khanh Linh is also talented in many other areas. While studying at Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School, she joined the school's art troupe. In grade 9, Khanh Linh won second prize at the provincial level in the "Folk Song Singing in Schools" contest.
Teacher Vu Ngoc Tuan, Vice Principal of Quynh Luu I High School, said: “Hoang Ho Khanh Linh is a good student, very intelligent, modest, talented and has a real passion for English. Not only is she a good student in all aspects, she is also talented in performing arts and actively participates in school activities. To achieve such high achievements, we must mention her ability to self-study during her studies and the dedicated help of her teachers.”
Sharing about her future plans, Linh said: “I will continue to strive to pass the entrance exam to the University of Foreign Languages to continue my passion for English. My future dream is to become a good interpreter, to help introduce international friends to better understand the people and country of Vietnam.”
