After 150 minutes of testing, candidates completed the first subject, Literature, this morning.

According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for the 2012 National High School Graduation Examination in Nghe An province, the first examination session proceeded normally, safely, and in accordance with regulations. A total of 61 candidates were absent from the Literature exam. Sadly, before the exam, in addition to 6 students from Anh Son 1 High School, 4 students from 4 other schools were involved in traffic accidents, resulting in one death (Tran Thi Hang Nga, a student in class 12A2, Nam Yen Thanh High School) and 3 students requiring hospitalization.

At the end of the first exam session, 3 candidates were suspended from the exam (2 candidates from the exam board of Nghi Loc 3 High School and 1 candidate from the exam board of Herman-Giơ-Méner High School); 1 exam attendant from the exam board of Vinh University High School for the Gifted was disciplined for bringing a mobile phone into the exam room.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training and Head of the mobile inspection team along Route 48, stated: “At the examination centers in the mountainous districts along Route 48, according to the team's observations, the first exam was conducted seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations. Security and order inside and outside the examination rooms were ensured; the number of absent candidates was very low, and no candidates violated the examination regulations.”
