Delegation of Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Korea) worked with Nghe An Provincial People's Council
(Baonghean.vn) -On June 28, the delegation of Gyeonggi Provincial Council - Korea led by Mr. Choi Jae Beak - member of the Construction and Transport Committee visited and worked with the People's Council of Nghe An province.
Attending the working session, Nghe An province had representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Planning and Investment; the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association, and the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College.
On behalf of the Provincial People's Council, comrade Tran Van Mao introduced the situation, terrain, climate, socio-economic characteristics of Nghe An province; discussed the activities of the Provincial People's Council, and the relationship between Nghe An and Korea.
To date, Nghe An has had 8 projects from Korean investors, with a total investment of nearly 60 million USD and thousands of Nghe An workers are working in Korea. The Korean government has invested 7.3 million USD in ODA capital to build the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College, providing vocational training for more than 10,000 students, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
On July 12, 2013, Nghe An will organize a conference to promote Korean investment in Nghe An in Hanoi - one of the activities to enhance the friendly and cooperative investment relationship between Nghe An and Korea.

At the meeting, the two sides openly exchanged the operational experiences of the People's Councils of the two provinces and the investment attraction policies of Nghe An in order to create all conditions for investors from Gyeonggi Province, Korea to learn about the potential, advantages and investment opportunities in Nghe An. The delegation of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council - Korea was also very interested in learning about the investment in urban infrastructure, environment, public sanitation and transportation of Nghe An. This is an area in which experienced Korean enterprises can invest in Nghe An.
The two sides have committed to promoting and creating all conditions to introduce connections for businesses from Gyeonggi Province - Korea to invest in Nghe An. This is the second time that the delegation of Gyeonggi Province has visited and worked in Nghe An, implementing the memorandum of understanding signed in March 2013.
