Sand mining bandits rampant on Con River

(Baonghean.vn) -For many years, illegal sand mining has been rampant, destroying the Con River flowing through the communes of Nghia Hop, Nghia Dung, Nghia Binh, etc. (Tan Ky).

Boats mainly use high-powered "water cannons" to suck sand from the middle of the river or at the foot of Roi bridge, causing many sections of the river to change their flow, leading to serious erosion on both banks of Lam river.

Many sand docks are being formed along the river, with trucks coming in and out day and night, while local authorities are lax in management.
