Vinh University introduces Australian Development Scholarship Program

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, January 9, Vinh University in collaboration with AusAID introduced the Australian Development Scholarship Program for staff and students of universities and colleges in the area. Representatives of the Australian organization attended and discussed with the students.

Australian Government scholarships, administered by AusAID, are provided to Vietnam to develop the leadership and professional skills of dynamic young Vietnamese citizens, and to build strong relationships with individuals and organisations in Australia. About 4,000 Vietnamese studentsMalestudied here under this scholarship program.

The subjects who are eligible to receive this scholarship fall into three groups. Group 1 is local government officials in disadvantaged areas; Group 2 is officials in central ministries and branches; Group 3 is a group of lecturers at universities across the country.

By participating in the program, students will study at an Australian university, receive a full scholarship worth up to approximately AUD 300,000, receive comprehensive support including scientific consulting and English training in Vietnam for 9 months, and receive support after returning to Vietnam through a dynamic network of students.
