The Lang Vac festival associated with the Lang Vac archaeological site is not only the pride of the Thai Hoa Town Party Committee in particular, but also of the Phu Quy ethnic people in general.

The great value of the Lang Vac Archaeological Site is demonstrated after 5 excavations on an area of ​​1,438m2 with 347 tombs and 1,228 artifacts with the conclusions of domestic and foreign scientists proving: Lang Vac is the remaining past existence of the Dong Son Cultural Center on the Ca River basin, the cradle of the ancient Vietnamese people. Coming to Lang Vac Festival today, reviewing the preserved artifacts to contemplate a civilization hidden deep underground, each of us is extremely proud of the traditions of our ancestors. It was on this sacred land that our ancestors created sophisticated tools, organized labor production, and settled down. We are always aware that economic development must go hand in hand with preserving, conserving and promoting cultural identity and culture itself will become the goal and driving force for economic development.

Promoting the heroic historical traditions left by our ancestors, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Hoa Town are striving to overcome difficulties, unanimously devoting all their efforts to build Thai Hoa Town to soon become the economic and social development center of the Northwest region of Nghe An, a young, dynamic and rapidly developing town on the banks of the Hieu River. Thanks to that, in 2012, despite the general difficult conditions due to economic recession, complicated weather conditions, and epidemics in livestock and poultry, under the leadership of the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee, the direction of the Town People's Committee, the consensus, solidarity and efforts of all levels, sectors and the entire population, the socio-economic situation of Thai Hoa Town still maintained its growth rate. The economic growth rate reached 14.5%; the total production value reached 2,799,300 million VND, reaching 101.1% of the plan, equal to 123.6% over the same period. Average production value per capita is 45.5 million VND/year. 26/28 economic and social targets have met and exceeded the plan; 19/19 targets on culture, society, education, health, and environment have met and exceeded the plan.

The highlight of 2012 is that Thai Hoa Town has successfully implemented the National Target Program on New Rural Development. The entire Town has launched a Town-level emulation campaign with the theme "All people join hands to build new rural areas", which has created a widespread effect, mobilizing resources to coordinate implementation. As a result, 100% of rural roads have been marked and marked, nearly 35km of inter-hamlet roads have been expanded, and people have been mobilized to donate more than 62,915m2 of land, contribute more than 2.6 billion VND and 15,535 working days.

Implementing many effective agricultural economic models such as: growing PQ1 tangerines, Quang Tien pink grapefruits, beekeeping for honey in Tay Hieu... Tan Quyet Thang carpentry and forest product processing villages operate effectively; implementing the construction of a number of craft villages such as: vermicelli production in Long Son, molasses processing in Quang Phong, introducing a number of new occupations such as incense production, stone carving... contributing to creating jobs, increasing income and improving people's lives.

In the field of basic construction, continue to invest in building a number of key projects: traffic roads to the waste treatment area, cross-roads N1, N2, N3, N6; the main axis of the dike and the road on the East bank of Hieu River, the road to Nghia Hoa Commune Center, Lam Vien embankment, repairing and upgrading water reservoirs, urban lighting lines, medical stations, schools... and a number of completed projects put into use such as: 3/2 Street, Khe Sung Dam, Dong Quan Dam, 26/3 Dam, the main axis road from Gao slope to Ba Mam slope... have contributed to creating a new, modern appearance of the town on the banks of Hieu River. Commercial services have developed well, gradually forming and affirming Thai Hoa Town to become the center of trade - financial services in the Northwest region with the opening and operation of 6 commercial banks, 2 credit funds contributing to actively regulating capital sources to serve the needs of socio-economic development.

Planning, investment attraction, and site clearance have been well implemented. Detailed completion of the Memorial Area for Uncle Ho's visit to Dong Hieu Commune, Lang Vac Archaeological Site Area associated with eco-tourism and resorts, general planning of Dong Hieu Urban Area; supplementing the planning of small industrial clusters of Nghia Thuan, Quang Phong, and Tay Hieu. Regarding the implementation of the Planning for the Archaeological Site Conservation Area associated with Lang Vac Eco-tourism, Thai Hoa is always aware of the responsibility to build in conjunction with the conservation and promotion of cultural values, so it is gradually implementing the construction according to the Decision approving the planning No. 24/QD.UBND - CN of the Provincial People's Committee.

A number of items have been invested and put into use, contributing to creating landscapes, serving the visiting needs of the people as well as elevating the historical archaeological relic site such as: the main worshiping area, the worshiping area of ​​Ba Quoc Mau, Hon Suong dam, roads, lighting to the central commune of Nghia Hoa and the place where the Lang Vac Festival is held... With a methodical planning and step-by-step investment in items, the Lang Vac Archaeological Site is increasingly becoming a highlight on the map of Nghe An: sea tourism, spiritual cultural tourism to the Western region of Nghe An connecting historical relic sites associated with festivals starting from the sea (including: Con Temple Festival, Cuong Temple Festival) - Lang Vac Festival - Hang Bua Festival (Quy Chau) - Chin Gian Temple Festival (Que Phong)... In particular, right in Thai Hoa, the Lang Vac Festival associated with the significance of historical archaeological relics has connected with the Memorial Area of ​​Uncle Ho visiting Dong Hieu and Bau Sen forest park, the East bank embankment, The West bank of Hieu River is being invested in and built, becoming a triangle of cultural, historical, spiritual and service tourism, creating a cultural highlight every time you come to Thai Hoa Town. Also from this highlight, Thai Hoa Town is promoting the advantages of a young town on the banks of Hieu River to become a destination for investors with the results that many large companies have surveyed and promoted investment in the area such as: TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company, International High Technology Joint Stock Company, Addcom Company, TECCO Company...

The Vac Village Festival in the Year of the Snake 2013 is also the 14th time we have organized the Vac Village Festival to pay tribute to the merits of our ancestors who opened up and initiated the brilliant Dong Son civilization and preserved, survived and developed it until today. From the momentum of that historical and cultural tradition, the Party Committee and people of Thai Hoa Town with new spirit and determination have overcome all common difficulties of the economy to well implement the 2013 socio-economic development plan to maintain and ensure a growth rate of 14-15%. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to focus on implementing the following tasks:

1. Promote investment attraction, diversify forms of investment attraction, and effectively mobilize and use investment capital sources. Seek assistance from the Central Government, ministries, branches, and the province to access information about investors.

2. Continue to remove difficulties and obstacles to promote production and business such as: Doing a good job of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement; improving the business environment, increasing information provision, removing difficulties to contribute to improving production and business efficiency, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. Implementing well the new rural construction program. Promoting commodity production, forming concentrated specialized production areas, model fields. Developing comprehensive agriculture in a modern, effective and sustainable direction. Speeding up the construction progress of key projects, paying attention to urban beautification. Creating conditions for the development of financial services, telecommunications, banking, credit funds, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.

3. Focus on directing budget collection and strictly controlling expenditures: Support and encourage economic sectors to promote production and business, nurture and reasonably exploit revenue sources. Strictly control expenditures, practice thrift, and combat waste. Strengthen financial management in budget-receiving units. Focus on training and professional development for financial staff in units, check staff capacity and have specific periodic assessments.

4. Improve the direction and management, promote administrative reform and grassroots democracy regulations. Improve the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees. Implement democratic regulations and administrative reform, innovate direction and management, strengthen the inspection and supervision of the performance of public duties by cadres, civil servants and public employees. Strengthen the direction and supervision of the implementation of tasks and areas that are weak, slow and stagnant; especially the tasks that have been reviewed by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee according to Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee.

5. Do a good job of information and propaganda work, promote the town's image, create consensus in carrying out socio-economic development tasks.
