During the flowering and fruiting season from April to September each year, people harvest the flowers, leaves, and roots of the magnolia tree, drying them or using them fresh to treat various ailments.

According to traditional Chinese medicine,White magnoliaIt has a bitter and pungent taste, is slightly warm in nature, and has diuretic and expectorant effects. It is used to treat coughs, whooping cough, headaches, dizziness, bronchitis, chest pain, prostatitis, and leucorrhea. The average dose for each decoction is 6-12g. Here are some remedies using white magnolia flowers.

-Treating headaches:Eight white magnolia flowers, ten jasmine flowers, and 20 grams of lotus leaves. Boil these ingredients together and drink one decoction per day, divided into three doses. Use for five consecutive days.

- Treating bronchitis:Seven white magnolia flowers, five white rose flowers, and 15 ml of honey. Place all ingredients in a bowl and steam over a water bath. Divide into three portions and drink throughout the day. Continue this treatment for 3-5 days.

- Treatment for frequent urination:15g of white magnolia root, 20g of corn silk, 10g of Houttuynia cordata. Boil these ingredients together and drink one dose per day, divided into three portions. Use for 5-7 days.

ButTreatment for whooping cough: 8 white magnolia flowers, 10g lemon leaves, 3g ginger. Boil and drink one dose per day, divided into three portions. Drink for 5 consecutive days.
