Cannes Film Festival thrown into chaos after shooting.
The 66th Cannes Film Festival on May 17th was thrown into chaos after a man fired two shots during a live broadcast on a beach in the French Riviera resort.

The incident occurred while the French television channel Canal+ was conducting a live interview with Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz and French actor Daniel Auteuil. The incident caused a disturbance during the filming. The man was immediately arrested along with rubber bullets and a knife. Filming subsequently resumed.
This is the second security-related incident of the day during the 12-day Cannes Film Festival, which attracts thousands of actors, directors, producers, journalists, and fans.
Earlier, French police also reported that on the night of May 16th and early morning of May 17th (French time), thieves broke into a Novotel hotel room in the French Riviera resort where the 66th Cannes Film Festival was taking place and stole a large quantity of jewelry worth $1.4 million.
