Opening Ceremony of the 7th National Sports Festival

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 22nd, Chau Tien commune (Quy Chau district) held its 7th Sports Festival. More than 300 athletes from 12 hamlets and schools in the commune participated in the event.They will compete in 7 sports.

Thanks to thorough preparation, the opening ceremony of the Games was organized on a large scale and in a well-structured manner, incorporating parades by various units, villages, militia forces, commune police officers, and students from Chau Tien Secondary School, creating a truly vibrant mass sports festival.

Following the opening ceremony, a men's volleyball match took place between the Hoa Tien 1 and Hop Tien teams. With enthusiastic spirit, the athletes gave their all in the opening match, showcasing many beautiful plays that left a lasting impression on the audience.

According to the plan, the Chau Tien Commune Sports Festival will hold competitions in seven disciplines: men's football, volleyball, stick pushing, tug-of-war, cross-country running, athletics, archery, and men's and women's stilt walking, taking place from May 22nd to 24th. This festival aims to evaluate the results of physical education, health training, and fitness improvement for the people through sports activities, and to select outstanding athletes to participate in the 7th District-level Sports Festival in November 2013.
