Nearly 40 people were killed by a powerful tornado in the US.

According to AFP, on May 20, a powerful tornado with winds reaching 320 km/hour swept through the outskirts of Oklahoma City, the capital of Oklahoma, USA.

US media, citing an Oklahoma state health official, reported that at least 37 people were killed in the tornado.
