This move demonstrates the town's proactive approach in building the Cua Lo beach tourism brand.
On March 23rd, a working group from the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department, in coordination with the Cua Lo Town Health Center, conducted inspections at three hotels and restaurants. Only one hotel met food safety and hygiene standards. The violations and shortcomings of the other two establishments were mainly due to the lack of contracts with suppliers of cooking ingredients in accordance with Circular 30 of the Ministry of Health; failure to provide food safety and hygiene training for staff; the presence of many expired ingredients in the warehouse and kitchen; and unsanitary kitchen utensils and food containers.

Inspect food in the warehouse.
The team discovered many ingredients that were past their expiration date, or lacked production and expiration dates.
The inspection team recorded the incident, requesting the violating unit to destroy expired raw materials and rectify its food safety and hygiene practices. It is understood that the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department and the Town People's Committee will continue to conduct many more inspections in the future.
