On the morning of June 29, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish Dang Thuy Tram Medical College on the basis of upgrading from Quang Ngai Medical High School according to Decision No. 729 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Dang Thuy Tram Medical College has a total construction area of ​​over 7.4 hectares, with a total construction cost of 100 billion VND. The school's training plan is divided into 2 phases.

From now until 2015, Dang Thuy Tram Medical College will train from 1,500 to 2,000 students in nursing and midwifery at college level and 6 intermediate majors; Phase 2 from 2016 to 2020, train up to 2,400 students, add more majors in college level such as medical technology, rehabilitation, medical testing, physical therapy, pharmacy... which are majors that the grassroots health sector in Quang Ngai province is lacking.

Speaking at the ceremony announcing the Decision to establish Dang Thuy Tram Medical College, Quang Ngai province, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga emphasized: In this initial step, Dang Thuy Tram Medical College focuses on effectively linking the school's activities with major movements of the industry, absorbing the experiences and achievements of major universities and colleges at home and abroad to build a modern training program suitable for the increasingly high demands of the workforce in the integration period.
