You might not believe it, but if you experience little heartburn during pregnancy, the risk of having a baby with little hair or who is bald is very high!

1. Health risks for pregnant women with migraines.

Numerous studies have shown that pregnant women who frequently experience migraines are at increased risk of developing additional health problems such as high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease. This is because migraines cause blood clots in the veins, leading to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease during pregnancy.

2. Heartburn in the mother is linked to hair growth in the baby.

Studies show that about 82% of pregnant women who experience frequent heartburn will give birth to babies with thick hair; pregnant women who experience little or no heartburn will give birth to babies with sparse hair (or baldness). This is because hormonal changes that cause heartburn in the mother are related to hair development in the fetus.

This is the result of research by scientists at Johns Hopkins University, USA.

3. Rare ratios

Only about 5% of babies are born on their due date.

- Approximately 1% of pregnant women experience ruptured membranes before the onset of uterine contractions. Conversely, some pregnant women require a doctor to rupture the amniotic sac. Many mothers also experience frequent urination when their water breaks.

- Approximately 2% of pregnant women carry twins. This occurs when one egg combines with one sperm, then divides into two zygotes (each developing into a baby).

4. Changes in the mother's body

- Some pregnant women may notice hair growing on their face, abdomen, or around their nipples. A small number of pregnant women may also experience changes in hair color.

Your skin may become redder during pregnancy. This is a result of hormonal changes combined with the stretching of the skin due to weight gain during pregnancy. Some pregnant women develop brown patches on their face, while others have darker streaks on their abdomen.

- Pregnancy also has similar symptoms to premenstrual syndrome. Due to hormonal changes, you may feel tired and lethargic. However, the symptoms of pregnancy are more unpleasant than those of premenstrual syndrome.

- Approximately one in ten pregnant women experience a general feeling of weakness throughout their pregnancy. Furthermore, your mood can fluctuate wildly. You might be happy one moment and then suddenly sad, even to the point of crying. You might be prone to getting angry at your husband or colleagues for no reason. This is a common psychological state for women in early pregnancy.
