Lao Deputy Prime Minister receives delegation from Northwest Steering Committee
(Baonghean)On the morning of June 4th, at the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Asang Laoly, Member of the Political Bureau and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Laos, received the delegation of the Northwest Steering Committee led by Mr. Bui Thanh Thu, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, who were visiting and working in Laos.

Mr. Bui Thanh Thu thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation, congratulated the Lao people on the great and important achievements they have made in all fields in recent times, and reported on the results of the talks with the Central Steering Committee on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication of Laos.
Both sides highly appreciated the results of cooperation in implementing projects under the agreement over the past period, while also pointing out limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome to make the cooperation even more effective.
In the coming period, the two sides agreed to exchange delegations annually, share experiences, cooperate in promoting poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and developing the Vietnam-Laos border comprehensively, fulfilling the tasks assigned by the two Parties and two states, and contributing to further deepening the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
Mr. Asang Laoly welcomed the delegation's visit and stated that the Lao Party, State, and Government highly appreciate the results of cooperation between the two Committees in the past, especially in the construction and development of village clusters.
The Lao Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to cooperate closely, overcome limitations and shortcomings to fulfill the set tasks, accelerate poverty reduction efforts, and cooperate in building a sustainably developed Laos-Vietnam border.
