Namyangju City (Korea) awards scholarships to Vinh City students
This morning, February 25, at the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology, the Vinh City Scholarship Fund of the Namyangju City Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Kuyongky Province, Korea), the Rotary 3600 non-governmental charity organization in collaboration with the Vinh City People's Committee, and the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology organized a scholarship award ceremony for students of Vinh City.

In November 2005, Vinh City and Namyangju City (Korea) established a sister city relationship. On that basis, in January 2006, the Vinh City Scholarship Fund of the Namyangju City Chamber of Industry and Commerce was established, put into operation and provided the first scholarships for Vinh City students worth 2,000 USD. Every year, the Fund organizes many delegations to visit Vinh City, with gifts sent to poor and disadvantaged students.
At the gift-scholarship ceremony for Vinh City students, the Vinh City Scholarship Fund of the Namyangju City Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Rotary 3600 non-governmental charity organization presented 100 bicycles and scholarships worth 8,000 USD to poor and disadvantaged students.
Mr. Lee Chong Dok, Chairman of Vinh City Scholarship Fund of Namyangju City Chamber of Industry and Commerce, awarded scholarships to Vinh City students.
Ms. Kim Jin Ah, President of Rotary 3600 organization, donated bicycles to students.
The gifts and scholarships from the Vinh City Scholarship Fund of the Namyangju City Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Rotary Non-Governmental Charitable Organization are practical help, encouraging students in the city to continue to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies; at the same time, helping them understand more about Korea and the friendly cooperative relationship between the two cities and two countries.
