Palestinian President pays official visit to China.

According to China News Network, on the morning of May 5th, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing, beginning a three-day official visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

This is the first visit by a Middle Eastern leader to China since the country's new leadership took office.

During his visit, President Mahmoud Abbas will hold separate talks and meetings with Chinese leaders to discuss in depth the promotion of bilateral cooperation, the Palestinian issue, and exchange views on international and regional issues of common concern.

Speaking to the press before the visit, President Abbas said that politics was the top priority of his trip to China.

He will hold talks with Chinese leaders on the Palestinian-Israeli situation following significant changes in the regional landscape, the challenges facing Palestine, and the role of major powers, including China, in the Palestinian-Israeli issue.
