Commencement of restoration and embellishment of Kinh Duong Vuong Mausoleum and Temple

On the morning of February 25, in Bac Ninh, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and leaders of several ministries and branches offered incense to commemorate the founder of Kinh Duong Vuong and attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to restore and embellish the relic site of Kinh Duong Vuong's Mausoleum and Temple.

Every year, on the 18th of the first lunar month, the people of A Lu village, Dai Dong commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh hold a festival to show gratitude to their ancestors, welcome visitors from all directions to offer incense and commemorate their ancestors Kinh Duong Vuong - Lac Long Quan - Au Co.

The festival reflects the typical cultural life of the ancient Lac Viet people as well as the rice civilization of the Red River Delta.

Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb is located outside the Duong River dike, on a very large area of ​​land of about 20,000 square meters. After many historical changes, in 1971, the tomb was restored.

Here, there is still a stone stele engraved with 19 words, in the middle are the four words "Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb". The stele is dated to the 21st year of Minh Mang (1840). In the temple area, in addition to worshiping Kinh Duong Vuong, Lac Long Quan and Au Co are also worshiped. The temple currently preserves many royal decrees dating from 1810 - 1924 and a large inscription with the words "Dai Nam To Mieu".
