The Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee worked with the Vinh City People's Committee

(Baonghean.vn) -After directly supervising the implementation of socialized education in a number of schools in Vinh city, this morning (April 1), the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee, led by comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Head of the Culture and Social Committee, had a meeting with the leaders of the People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training of Vinh city on related issues.

In recent times, Vinh City has paid attention to issuing documents guiding, directing, and urging schools in the area to implement policies and regulations of all levels on mobilizing socialized education; regularly inspecting, checking, and correcting. In general, the implementation of socialized basic education is ensured in accordance with regulations, contributing to serving the needs of students and improving the quality of comprehensive education.

However, the emerging issue is that the collection and use of the school-level parent association fund and class fund are raising issues that need to be addressed, avoiding over-collection in schools and spending on wrong content other than serving students. Documents related to spending from socialized sources such as plans and payment vouchers are not complete, strict and consistent.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son requested the People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training to continue to pay attention to directing and urging schools in the area to properly comply with documents at all levels related to the socialization of education. The plan for investment in construction and procurement of facilities from socialized sources needs to have a roadmap, in which priority should be given to solving urgent problems, serving the interests of students. Note that the use of resources must ensure the purpose according to regulations, strictly, and avoid waste. Pay attention to the method of mobilization, creating consensus among parents, avoiding the situation of voluntary but still equalizing a common level of contribution; publicize revenue and expenditure from socialization. Pay attention to guiding the activities of the parents' association on methods, procedures, and regulations. Continue to inspect, check, and supervise schools, striving to have no schools that violate revenue and expenditure in schools.
