Launching the 2013 Golden Swallow Presenter Contest

The 2013 Golden Swallow Presenter Contest, with many innovations, will return from August 15th, aiming to discover talented presenters.

From 2004 to the present, Ho Chi Minh City Television has successfully organized the "Television Presenter" competition nine times, actively adding new faces and contributing to the strong development of the presenter workforce.

Marking 10 years since its launch, the Golden Swallow 2013 competition will kick off with several changes. Notably, this year's organizers, Ho Chi Minh City Television and Thanh Nien Media Group Joint Stock Company, have decided to change the competition's name from "Television Presenter" to "Presenter," signifying a broader scope and targeting all types of presenters and formats, not just television as before.

In addition, this year's program will feature four supporting presenters, which is considered the biggest difference. These are the beloved MCs who have won top prizes in previous seasons: MC Tran Thanh, MC Quynh Tram, MC Hoang Anh Duy, and MC Hong Phuong. These four supporting presenters will share, advise, impart experience, and guide the contestants throughout the competition, while also serving as the hosts for the final nights.

The competition structure has also changed considerably, increasing support and opportunities for contestants to gain experience. Accordingly, the four finalists will have a training trip to the Philippines to help them interact, learn, and challenge their communication skills in an international environment.

This year's exam also broadened its scope; in addition to topics revolving around social issues, current events, culture, and entertainment, the organizers also challenged contestants in areas such as events, game shows, and reality television.

The 2013 "Presenter Contest" took place over two months, from August 15th to October 18th. The final round began on September 20th, consisting of five nights of competition, and was broadcast live at 8:30 PM every Friday on HTV9.
