This draft resolution is said to be even tougher than previous ones.

The United Nations General Assembly voted on May 15 on a draft resolution condemning the Syrian government and supporting the opposition Syrian National Coalition, proposed by Qatar and several Arab countries. Russia is expected to oppose the resolution.

Some Western diplomats said the draft resolution was unlikely to receive the required 133 votes to pass.

The content of this draft resolution is even tougher than previous draft resolutions that Russia opposed because it considered them unbalanced./.
