Vietnam Airlines increases capacity for the September 2nd holiday.
On August 26th, Vietnam Airlines announced plans to increase capacity during the peak travel period of September 2nd to meet passenger demand.
Accordingly, from August 30th to September 3rd, 2013, Vietnam Airlines will operate additional flights on 10 high-demand domestic trunk and tourist routes, including: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi; Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Hoi/Da Nang/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc; and Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat. The routes with the strongest increase in capacity during this period are Hanoi - Dong Hoi/Phu Quoc - Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Hoi/Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City, with an increase of 70% to 100% compared to normal.
The total number of seats offered by Vietnam Airlines during the peak period of September 2nd reached...285,623 seats(including both regular and increased load),This represents a 22% increase compared to the usual rate and a 21% increase compared to the same period in 2012.With this plan, Vietnam Airlines hopes to meet the travel needs of the people during the September 2nd holiday in 2013.
