Over 62,000 candidates took the university and college entrance exams in the Vinh examination cluster.

(Baonghean.vn) -In the 2013 university and college entrance exams, the Vinh examination cluster had a total of 62,063 candidates registered for both rounds of exams from 185 universities, not including the candidates from the 3 universities that organized their own exams: Vinh Medical University, Vinh University of Technology and Education, and Van Xuan University of Technology.

The university and college entrance exams are divided into two phases: Phase I includes 36,310 candidates taking the exams for blocks A, V, and A1; Phase II includes 27,700 candidates taking the exams for the remaining blocks.

This year, Vinh University alone has over 23,300 candidates, an increase of more than 3,200 candidates compared to 2012. The number of candidates from 41 universities in Hanoi is 30,174; and from 31 universities in Ho Chi Minh City is 8,551.

To support the examination process, the Vinh examination cluster mobilized 1,837 examination rooms at 94 examination sites; over 5,180 officials were involved in supervising, invigilating, and providing security for the exam. In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Student Association also established 19 volunteer student teams to "support the exam season," with more than 6,000 volunteers participating during the examination period.
