China elects senior personnel of 12th CPPCC

AP and THX reported that on March 11, Mr. Yu Zhengsheng was elected as the head of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Also on March 11, Mr. Truong Khanh Le was elected as Secretary General of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

The first session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on the afternoon of March 3 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

General Secretary Xi Jinping, President Hu Jintao, Chairman of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo, Premier Wen Jiabao, Chairman of the CPPCC Jia Qinglin and many other senior leaders of the Party and State, along with more than 2,200 delegates representing all walks of life in China attended this large and important event./.
