Art program "Khe Sanh 1968 - Vietnam's strength"

The art exchange program reenacts the decisive battle of Khe Sanh victory, liberating Huong Hoa 45 years ago.

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of Khe Sanh Victory and the liberation of Huong Hoa, last night (July 7), at the Ta Con Airport Victory Museum, Tan Hop Commune, the People's Committee of Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province organized the program "Khe Sanh 1968 - the strength of Vietnam". Participating in the exchange were representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches; Quang Tri Province, generals, veterans and a large number of people and tourists.

The Art Exchange Program with the theme “Khe Sanh 1968 - The Power of Vietnam” recreates the decisive battle of Khe Sanh victory, liberating Huong Hoa 45 years ago. The program has the participation of more than 300 professional actors of Hue Opera Theater, local military forces and people of Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic groups in Western Quang Tri.

Through the exchange with veterans, those who directly participated in the battle told touching stories about the brave, fierce and intelligent fighting spirit of our army and people. 45 years after the liberation, Khe Sanh- Huong Hoa has changed a lot, becoming a bright spot on the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tam, former advisor of Group 565, Ministry of National Defense, former Chairman of Huong Hoa District People's Committee, Quang Tri Province said: "After the liberation of Khe Sanh, Huong Hoa District, the people's lives were very poor, the people were completely illiterate. After that, the district's policy was to actively fight hunger by planting a lot of cassava, a lot of potatoes, clearing land to grow rice, at the same time actively planting coffee, pepper and banana trees, raising a lot of buffaloes, cows and pigs, thanks to which the people's lives gradually improved".

The program “Khe Sanh 1968-Vietnam Strength” ended with a fireworks display to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Khe Sanh victory. Before that, at the spiritual cultural area of ​​Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, a rally was held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Khe Sanh victory and the liberation of Huong Hoa. The Khe Sanh and Huong Hoa victories 45 years ago contributed to forcing the US to de-escalate the war and sit at the negotiating table with us at the Paris Conference./.
