Prime Minister of Lao PDR presents Orders and Medals to collectives and individuals of Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of July 17, in Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a ceremony to receive Orders, Medals, and Certificates of Merit from the Lao People's Democratic Republic for collectives and individuals in the province.

Attending the ceremony, representatives of the Lao PDR were: Xom-cot Mang-no-mech - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary, Governor of Xieng Khouang province; Duong-Chit Chan Xay Vang - Deputy Secretary, Deputy Governor of Xieng Khouang province. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Hong Chau - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of Nghe An province through the periods and leaders of departments, branches, armed forces, and awarded individuals.

Authorized by the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, Comrade Xom-cot Mang-no-mech - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary and Governor of Xieng Khouang province awarded the First Class Independence Medal to the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province; Second Class Independence Medal to 15 collectives and 11 individuals; 16 individuals were awarded the Third Class Independence Medal; 15 collectives and 14 individuals were awarded the Friendship Medal; 15 collectives and 16 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister of the Lao Government. Xieng Khouang province also awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives and individuals with many achievements in building and fostering the friendship between Nghe An and Xieng Khouang provinces in particular and between Vietnam and Laos in general.

Provincial armed forces received the Second Class Independence Medal.

This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 35th anniversary of signing the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc and Xieng Khouang-Xom-Cot Mang-No-Mech Provincial Party Secretary and Governor highly appreciated the cooperation and solidarity of the Party Committees, authorities, armed forces and people of the two provinces in socio-economic development, strengthening the close friendship and solidarity. At the same time, they affirmed that the two provinces will continue to promote the achievements, contributing to building the comprehensive friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
