Nghia Dan: Launching Workers' Month and opening the men's volleyball finals

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 24, the Labor Federation of Nghia Dan district held a ceremony to launch the Workers' Month 2013 and opened the final round of the 2013 Workers' Men's Volleyball Championship.

Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tu Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, comrades in the District Party Committee, leaders of district-level departments and branches, and Executive Committees of grassroots trade unions, along with 8 first-place football teams in 8 clusters in the district.

In the 2013 Workers' Month, all levels of trade unions in the district will step up inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers and civil servants; promote the movement of "good workers, creative workers" and patriotic emulation among workers, civil servants and laborers; participate in the implementation of various funds such as the Children's Fund, the Trade Union Shelter Fund and other funds launched by superiors; do a good job of developing union members and building a strong trade union organization. Organize activities to review the tradition of the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, cultural and artistic activities, physical training and sports to achieve achievements in welcoming the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union....

Workers' Month 2013 is a period of extensive political activities among workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the whole district, contributing to building a strong and developed working class.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded a symbol of financial support for the construction of a Trade Union Shelter for 2 union members with difficult housing circumstances with a total value of 60 million VND; and awarded Cultural Unit Certificates to 12 units in the administrative and public service sector.

Also this morning, the opening ceremony of the 2013 Workers' Men's Volleyball Finals took place.
