Supporting breeding goats for Thanh Thuy commune and Youth Volunteer Team 2

(Baonghean.vn) -In order to help people in mountainous areas take advantage of land to develop the economy, on May 28, Nghe An Province Livestock Breeding Center presented 72 breeding goats to people in Thanh Thuy Commune and Youth Volunteer Team 2 (Thanh Chuong District).

Accordingly, the Center has given 4-5 goats to 15 households. These are households that do well in business and have the conditions to care for and develop goat herds, which can be widely bred for people in the area. Of the 72 goats, there are 70 female goats and 2 male goats, with an estimated total value of more than 200 million VND.

Support goat breeding for people

Each goat weighs from 15-25 kg, in the period of preparing to breed or is pregnant. This is a breed of goat crossbred from the botanical goat and local goat by the National Institute of Animal Husbandry. The advantage of this breed of goat is easy to care for, has few diseases, easy to find food sources, is currently favored by the market, and is easy to consume.

In addition to providing breeding resources, the Center also coordinates with the National Institute of Animal Husbandry to organize seminars and provide scientific and technical training for farmers, ensuring that goat herds develop quickly and generate income for farmers.
