The explosion occurred at around 6am on September 12 at the clean ice production facility of Mr. Hoang Quoc Phuong (born 1977, in Phu Minh town, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi).
According to some people living nearby, at that time they heard a loud explosion coming from Mr. Phuong's stone production facility. At the scene after the explosion, smoke billowed out, the clean stone production area exploded, objects in the stone factory were disturbed...
At that time, there were 3 people in the factory who were suffocated by gas and glass fragments. They were Ms. Pham Thi Hoang Yen (born in 1983 - Mr. Phuong's wife) and their 2 sons, Hoang Anh Tuan and Hoang Anh Kiet. Immediately afterwards, all three people were taken to the hospital for treatment by local people.
According to initial verification results of the police agency, the cause was determined to be a gas explosion.
