Focus on developing a plan to implement the Action Program to implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting to listen to and give opinions on a number of important contents, programs and projects. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

In August, in the agricultural sector, the province focused on directing the care of summer-autumn crops, preventing diseases, floods and storms. Industrial production continued to face many difficulties due to the increase in input fuel prices, so some enterprises reduced production output compared to the same period. The province established inspection teams to inspect the progress of construction investment in districts, cities and towns; continued to direct the acceleration of construction progress and disbursement of construction investment projects; and urged the recovery of advanced capital.

Some foreign affairs and investment attraction activities have been promoted: Provincial leaders visited and worked with leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province and Binh Phuoc province to exchange experiences in attracting investment and agreed to promote cooperation, coordinate promotion and mobilize potential businesses to invest in Nghe An.

Some cultural and social fields continued to have positive changes. Hunger eradication and poverty reduction, job creation and social security issues were directed with attention and achieved many positive results. Security, national defense, social order and safety were maintained.

After listening to the opinions of the committee members and representatives of departments, branches and sectors, concluding the working session, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong suggested that departments and branches need to develop a plan to implement the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program on implementing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for developing Nghe An province until 2020; work with the Central ministries and branches to prepare for the 2014 plan. In addition, urge to speed up the progress of projects, especially key projects; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development directs to speed up production, prevent and control plant diseases, prevent storms and floods, complete the project to develop plants and animals in the Western region of the province; focus on handling outstanding cases that cause public outrage...
