Classes in Cao Veu
(Baonghean.vn) -Since 2010, the Cao Vều Border Guard Post (Phúc Sơn – Anh Sơn) has provided considerable assistance to the local people. Teaching literacy to women is one example.
Ms. Ha Thi Minh (Veu 4 village - Phuc Son, Anh Son) confided, "I only finished 5th grade, and after getting married and having three children, I've forgotten everything I saw."
Therefore, the Cao Vều Border Guard Post organized literacy classes for the women. In the early days, the class had 30-35 women. Currently, there are 27 women remaining. Ms. Luong Thi Mao, also residing in this village, said, "I miss Teacher Luong and Teacher Nghia very much; thanks to them, I learned how to sign that petition!"
In the class taught by Lieutenant Loc Van Xao, we saw a scene where mothers and sisters were surrounded by many children. The mothers were reviewing their own letters while also guiding their children in learning the letters they had already learned.
The soldiers in green uniforms of the Cao Veu Border Guard Post, in addition to their duty of maintaining peace along the 17.2km border with Xay Cham Phon district of Bolikhamsai province in Laos, have wholeheartedly hoped to bring literacy back to this remote and isolated region.

The class size today (June 25th) is 27 people from Vều 4 village.
