"The Miss Vietnam Ethnic Beauty Contest is transparent"

The Department of Performing Arts has just sent a report to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism about the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2013 contest, emphasizing that the results of the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2013 contest are transparent.

The document affirmed that, immediately after receiving permission from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Performing Arts regularly monitored and required the competition's organizing committee to comply with legal regulations, in accordance with the Ministry's permission decision.

The Department of Performing Arts assessed that the competition took place according to the correct procedures, the organization was transparent, the selection of contestants was in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, respect for culture, customs and equality among contestants.

The document emphasized that the final night of the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2013 contest was well organized, the jury worked seriously, objectively, impartially and there was no cheating or prize-buying during the judging process. In addition, the document affirmed that the information about prize-buying was "baseless and unfounded; greatly affecting the honor and reputation of a number of organizations and individuals".

The Department of Performing Arts requested Quang Nam province and the contest's organizing committee to send a written request to the relevant authorities to investigate, clarify and strictly handle this groundless news report before the law.
