Recently, VFF has submitted to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training for consideration and approval of the list of national team players to prepare for the upcoming 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Accordingly, in this list, in addition to familiar faces who have been called up to the national team many times such as Hong Son, Thanh Luong, Tan Tai, Quang Hai, Anh Duc, the team welcomes the return of Van Hoan, Tien Thanh, Hoang Quang, Thanh Trung. And especially, before the departure date for the Asian Cup qualifiers, the national team will be supplemented with some faces currently wearing the U23 Vietnam team jersey.

Regarding the coaching staff, because coach Hoang Van Phuc is busy leading the Vietnam U23 team in two friendly matches against U23 Galatasaray and Santos, the person assigned to lead the national team is coach Nguyen Van Sy.

According to the plan, on September 26, these 21 players will gather at La Thanh Hotel, Hanoi. The team will have 10 days of training before leaving for Qatar on October 7 to compete with the national team of this country on October 9. After that, the team will move to Uzbekistan to prepare for the match against Uzbekistan.
