Vietnam - Laos Ministerial Conference on Labor and Social Welfare

On July 1, in Hue City, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Laos held the 3rd Conference.

Attending the Conference were Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Sub-Committee, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Lao Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Onechanh Thammavong, Secretary of Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thien and leaders of ministries, branches and localities of the two countries.

This conference on labor and social welfare between Vietnam and Laos aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of labor and social affairs between the two countries by discussing major issues of mutual concern such as: Report updating the situation of labor cooperation between the two Ministries in the period 2011-2013; receiving and registering Vietnamese workers under the cooperation of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos; Ministers of the two countries signing the Vietnam-Laos Labor Cooperation Agreement; handing over electrical vocational training equipment to the Lao Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare; sharing legal information on new labor and social policies of Vietnam...

In addition to the official working program, the two Ministers and delegates will visit a number of facilities and training and job introduction centers in Hue City such as the Hue City Job Introduction Center, Hue Tourism Vocational College and a number of other cultural facilities.
