Exchange between youth of 4 provinces sharing the border of Nghe An - Laos

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of August 13, in Vinh city, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union had a meeting with the delegations of the provinces of Lao PDR that share a border with Nghe An, including Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, and Huaphan.

Overview of the meeting

This is an annual activity of the youth of the four provinces sharing the Vietnam-Laos border to learn about the culture and people of the two nations; at the same time, implementing the contents signed between the youth of the four provinces such as exchanging ways to organize voluntary summer activities, donating blood, and distributing medicine to the people. Through this, the role of the youth in helping poor households living near the Vietnam-Laos border is promoted.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung presented souvenirs to representatives of three provinces of Laos.

At the meeting, representatives of the Youth Unions of the four provinces also emphasized that this was a meaningful meeting to further strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the youth of Vietnam and Laos; hoping that the Youth Unions of the four provinces will increasingly have new activities to learn from each other to improve the quality of the activities of the Youth Unions of the four provinces, fostering the friendship between the youth of the two countries to a new height.

Also on this occasion, the delegation will visit and offer incense at Kim Lien Relic Site, visiting President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.
