Friendship exchange to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 2, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association organized a friendly meeting to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia (November 7, 1917 - November 7, 2013). Attending were more than 40 members representing nearly 400 members from 7 grassroots branches.

The exchange is an annual traditional activity maintained by the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association for many years. The delegates reviewed the Russian October Revolution and affirmed that this was a great historical event of mankind, opening the path of proletarian revolution for the working class in capitalist countries and the people of colonial countries, including Vietnam. At the same time, they expressed sincere gratitude and noble sentiments of the Vietnamese people towards the people of the former Soviet Union and the people of Russia today for their wholehearted support to the Vietnamese people in the two great resistance wars of the nation.

The meeting is also an opportunity for those who love Russia, those who have spent time studying, working and working in Russia in their homeland Nghe An to meet and express their gratitude to the people and country of Soviet Russia, and to foster and enhance the Vietnam-Russia solidarity in the new era.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Friendship Association also reviewed the association's work in 2013 and proposed a number of key tasks for its activities in the coming time.
