“I am deeply moved by the example of the labor hero Huynh Van Cam, a severely disabled veteran, who, despite being over 70 years old, has devoted himself to mobilizing many people, many organizations, and doing charity work himself, helping tens of thousands of poor patients, people with heart disease, and the blind regain their lives and sight. I am also especially impressed by the brave spirit of Le Van Duoc, who, despite being only 15 years old, did not fear the danger to his life, and jumped into the river alone to save 5 children from drowning. I also highly appreciate the achievements of the direct production workers, the intellectual contributions of scientists, and good business leaders...”- Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung said.
Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung hopes that the honored individuals and groups will continue to be leading factors, continue to shine in society, and become typical nuclei of the patriotic emulation movement throughout the country.
Forgetting the danger, jumping into deep water to save 5 children from death, but on the stage of the program Glory around Vietnam, Le Van Duoc, a 9B grade student in Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, very shyly shared that at that time, he did not think of anything, he just wanted to save the children.
The audience had the opportunity to interact with typical examples of the program "Glory of Vietnam" such as: Colonel Nguyen Dang Giap, General Director of Corporation 36 - Ministry of National Defense - who steered the Company through difficult times, continuously reaping success. In 2013, Corporation 36 was honored to receive the title of Labor Hero; Mr. Le Van Tuan, Chairman of the Trade Union, Deputy Director of the Radio Frequency Department - the unit that won the orbital position to successfully launch the telecommunications satellites VINASAT-1, VINASAT-2 and VN RED SAT-1...
