Russian President signs decree on sanctions against North Korea
Many "strong" measures introduced by the Russian government will limit many of North Korea's transactions with Russia.
On December 2, the Kremlin said that Russia has implemented sanctions against North Korea, in accordance with Resolution 2094 adopted by the United Nations Security Council in March 2013.
The decree, signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, prohibits Russian citizens, organizations and businesses from exchanging goods with North Korea or conducting financial transactions related to North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.
North Korean vessels that refuse inspection will not be allowed to enter the port. In addition, the Russian government will be vigilant in its communications with diplomats from North Korea.
