The Vietnam Football Federation has officially accepted XMXT.Saigon's withdrawal from the league and decided that there will be no relegation in the 2013 V-League season.

This information has been confirmed by announcement number 782/LĐBĐVN from the Vietnam Football Federation. The VFF affirms that the VPF and the Organizing Committee have the right to handle the matter according to all current regulations.

According to Article 5.6, in the event that the club withdraws or is eliminated from the league, XMXT.Saigon Club will automatically be relegated to the Third Division from the next season onwards.

According to Article 5.5 of the Decisions Following the Final Ranking of the League, and the spirit of the Resolution of the Conference Meeting on December 13, 2012, out of the 12 clubs participating in this season's V-League, only one team will be relegated. XMXT.Saigon's decision will therefore allow the remaining 11 clubs to continue participating in the 2014 season.

The VFF's announcement didn't mention the cancellation of XMXT's match results, but according to the league regulations, all matches involving this club will have their results annulled. This would push Song Lam Nghe An down to 4th place in the standings, simultaneously giving Hanoi T&T and SHB Da Nang a chance to win the championship.

Kien Giang has also officially secured their place in the league with this decision from the VFF. The Southern team no longer needs to worry about their current position or the results of the last two rounds.

The VFF Standing Committee has also requested the remaining 11 clubs to participate seriously and honestly in the last two rounds. Instead of 6 matches, the final two rounds of the 2013 V-League will only consist of 5 matches.
