(Baonghean) - The land is becoming increasingly barren, the weather is becoming increasingly harsh and erratic, so farming on the fields is gradually becoming less effective. Realizing this, Mr. Ha Van Nho (Na Luong 2 village, Huu Kiem commune - Ky Son) is always thinking to find a suitable direction in developing the family economy. Finally, he decided to contract more than 4 hectares of hilly land on the left bank of the Nam Mo river to develop the farm according to a comprehensive model.

Having found a way, Mr. Nho boldly borrowed capital to invest in building barns and various types of plants and animals. His plan is to grow hybrid corn on most of the area, and a part of it to grow red sưa, xoan dau, banana, papaya and other vegetables and fruits. On the remaining area, he will dig ponds to raise fish and frogs, graze cows, and zone off areas to raise black pigs, chickens, geese and ducks. In particular, hybrid corn products are a source of food for the above types of animals. That is the solution of "taking short-term to support long-term", ensuring a regular and sustainable source of income. This method is not too difficult, because the types of plants and animals raised are very familiar, it does not take much time to learn and get used to the raising techniques. At the same time, it is convenient for sanitation and disease prevention.

Up to now, after 5 years of developing the farm economy, Mr. Nho has paid off all his debts, earning around 60 million VND each year. As for hybrid corn, besides ensuring a source of food for pigs, fish, frogs and poultry, he also sells about 25 million VND/season.

Currently, he has 6 cows, 10 black pigs, 80 chickens, 1,000 frogs. That is not to mention the income from the fish pond, geese, vegetable garden, and banana garden. Developing the farm economy has ensured daily food sources for Mr. Nho's family, and more importantly, helped his family stabilize and become rich legally.According to Mr. Nho, due to human resources, he has not been able to fully exploit the potential of his family's farm. His plan in the near future is to invest more capital to increase the number of cows, black pigs and chickens. These are easy-to-consume food sources, and market demand is increasing day by day...

Sharing his experience, Mr. Ha Van Nho said: “The important thing is to be bold in investing capital, mastering farming techniques and not being afraid of difficulties and hardships. Along with that, we must regularly research and grasp market demand to make timely adjustments in developing plant and animal varieties.”
