Previously, according to the EPA program to recruit nurses and caregivers to work in Japan, nursing and caregiver candidates who wanted to work in Japan, even though they had a Japanese proficiency certificate N3, were still required to take a 12-month Japanese language course organized by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Japanese side. This course is completely free of tuition, accommodation and living expenses.
Workers who have Japanese proficiency certificate N1 or N2 will be able to go to Japan to study and work for a maximum of 3 years for nursing candidates and a maximum of 4 years for caregiving candidates (renewed once a year).
During their stay in Japan, candidates are allowed to take the Japanese National Certification Examination for Nursing and Caregiving. If they pass this certification, they will be allowed to stay and work long-term.
The salary for nurses in Japan will be from about 130,000-140,000 yen/month (equivalent to 28-30 million VND/month), and for nursing assistants it will be 140,000-150,000 yen/month (equivalent to 30-33 million VND/month).
Candidates who want to apply for the Vietnamese nursing program to work in Japan can contact the Department of Overseas Labor Management directly or by post at the address: 41B, Ly Thai To, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The application period is from October 25 to November 20, 2013.
The Department of Overseas Labor Management will announce the list of qualified and unqualified candidates on the Department of Overseas Labor Management's website (www.dolab.gov.vn) and send this list to the address provided by the applicant.
The Department of Overseas Labor Management is the sole agency receiving registration applications and implementing the program together with the Japanese agency. No labor export company or individual is licensed to implement this program./.
