Lai Huong Thao has been selected to compete in Miss World.

Images of Miss Sport 2012 have been on the Miss World website for several days now. However, her profile has not yet been submitted to the Department of Performing Arts.

Ms. Thuy Nga, representative of Elite, the company holding the right to send contestants to the Miss World pageant in Vietnam, confirmed to VnExpress that the company has received an invitation from the Miss World organization for Lai Huong Thao. With this invitation, Elite will complete the application to submit to the Department of Performing Arts to request a permit for the beauty queen from Quang Ninh.

Ms. Thuy Nga highly praised Lai Huong Thao and stated that the 20-year-old model had been preparing for Miss World for seven months. Ms. Nga also believed that, with her experience at the Miss Supranational 2012 competition, Huong Thao would confidently assert herself.

Lai Huong Thao, 20 years old, is 1.7m tall and has measurements of 89-61-91. In 2012, she won the Miss Sports title and represented Vietnam at the Miss Supranational 2012 competition. Although she did not make it into the top 20 in the final night, she won two subsidiary awards: Miss Community and Miss Supranational Asia.

Miss World 2013 took place in September in the Muslim-majority country of Indonesia, with the participation of over 120 contestants. In the swimsuit competition, contestants wore sarongs – the traditional Indonesian attire. This was a requirement of the host country when they agreed to host the competition.

Since the beginning of the year, Elite has worked with many beauties regarding the Miss World competition. One beauty that Ms. Thuy Nga highly regards is Thuy Dung, but the drawback is that the beauty from Da Nang won the title quite a long time ago (2008). However, Ms. Nga still believes that, with her mature beauty and intelligence, Thuy Dung still has a chance in other international beauty pageants.
