Awarding the Friendship Medal to the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam

This is the second time Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Gonzalez has received this noble medal.



Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan awarded the Friendship Medal
for the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Vietnam

On the afternoon of August 8, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan awarded the Friendship Medal to Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Fredesman Turro Gonzalez, on the occasion of the end of his term as Ambassador to Vietnam.

This is the second time Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Gonzalez has received this noble medal, for his active contributions in promoting and strengthening solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

Ambassador Gonzalez expressed his honor and sincere thanks to our State for receiving the Friendship Medal for the second time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc highly appreciated the role of comrade Gonzalez in promoting the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.

Deputy Minister Ha Kim Ngoc emphasized: “The Friendship Medal is a noble award of the Vietnamese State awarded to foreigners and groups of foreigners who have made great and positive contributions to building, consolidating and developing friendship between Vietnam and countries around the world.

With his special affection and passion for Vietnam and the Cuba-Vietnam relationship, Comrade Gonzalez has become an important bridge connecting the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries. We acknowledge the very positive and effective contributions of the Ambassador and the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam in promoting close mutual understanding between the two countries”./.
