(Baonghean.vn) -As part of the voter outreach program prior to the provincial People's Council session, on the morning of June 15th, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and representative of the Provincial People's Council; and other representatives of the Provincial and Vinh City People's Councils met with voters in Nghi Duc commune, Vinh City.

Comrade Ho Duc Phuoc explains the opinions of the voters.

During the meeting, the issue that many voters focused on was the slow progress in issuing land use right certificates and clearing land for the Vinh - Cua Lo highway. Many voters stated that when the government decides to reclaim land for public works, they are ready to relocate to new residences. However, they pointed out inadequacies in compensation rates and inventory procedures, and emphasized the need for prompt relocation to new homes that meet requirements regarding land area and infrastructure.

Several other issues that voters continued to raise included: the slow implementation of policies for the elderly; the ineffective operation of Canal 407, with continued water loss; the need for decentralized management and a plan to allocate funds for road maintenance and repair, as the commune has many roads passing through it; and issues related to electricity infrastructure and job placement for students after graduation.

Voters express their thoughts and aspirations.

Representatives from the People's Council and People's Committee at all levels responded to voters' requests based on their respective jurisdictions. In explaining the voters' opinions, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – stated: Regarding the voters' concerns about the slow progress of the Vinh-Cua Lo road project, the province will accelerate the progress, prioritizing resettlement to help people stabilize their lives and livelihoods. The province will direct Vinh City to do a good job in this area. Regarding planning issues, after the general plan for Vinh City is finalized, the planning of communes and wards, including Nghi Duc commune, will be revised. Some projects are delayed due to inflation, economic difficulties, and a lack of capital; the province will inspect and revoke unreasonable projects; and urged people to proactively engage in production on the allocated land.

Regarding the decentralization of road management, the province has regulations on decentralization and management. For the maintenance and repair of roads, the province allocates annual budgets, and for degraded roads, the province will direct the Department of Transport to develop plans for early remediation. Regarding the slow issuance of land use right certificates, the province has directed the city to focus on accelerating the process so that people can receive their land titles as soon as possible. Concerning the difference in land prices between Nghi Duc commune and other communes, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc suggested that the commune government gather the opinions and suggestions of the people and submit a report to the City. The province will then direct the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the City to establish reasonable land prices.
