Head of the Central Organizing Committee visits the French Republic

At the invitation of the French Communist Party, a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Mr. To Huy Rua, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, visited and worked in the French Republic from October 26 to 29.

During his visit and work in France, on October 26, Mr. To Huy Rua met with the leadership of the French Communist Party led by Mr. Pierre Laurent, National Secretary of the Party.

In an atmosphere of solidarity, Mr. Pierre Laurent, on behalf of the French Communist Party, once again sincerely sent to the Party, State and people of Vietnam his deepest condolences on the passing of General Vo Nguyen Giap; announced some main features of the political, socio-economic situation of the French Republic and the activities of the French Communist Party in recent times, especially the French Communist Party's celebration of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam.

He highly appreciated the significance of the delegation's visit and work; affirmed that he would do his utmost to consolidate and enhance the long-standing traditional friendship and effective cooperation between the two parties in the coming time.

Mr. To Huy Rua informed about the general situation in Vietnam, the activities of the Party, Government and National Assembly of Vietnam in recent times; exchanged experiences in party building with the leadership of the French Communist Party; highly appreciated the practical effectiveness of the cooperation between the two parties in recent years; believed that the relationship between the two parties will actively contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

According to the program, during his visit to the French Republic, Mr. To Huy Rua will visit and talk to the staff of the Embassy and representative agencies of Vietnam in France.
